This Social Media Legal Guidance Toolkit was developed by the Massachusetts Executive Office for Administration and Finance, ITD for state agency use. Local governments are free to download and review the contents with their legal counsel and adjust them as necessary to meet the needs of their community. This should be done before engaging in social media. The kit includes:
- training topics for agency social media participants;
- meeting relevant legal obligations;
- considerations for employees’ use of social media, both professional and personal.
